Job summary

United Care ABA-Colorado is seeking Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to work one‑on‑one with children with autism in a structured, skill‑based setting. This is hands‑on experience in behavioral health, child development, and real‑life skill building.

This is not babysitting. You’ll learn ABA‑based skills under supervision from a BCBA, gaining insight into behavior and how to support children on the spectrum.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn ABA-based skills.
• Strong communication with children and caregivers.
• Reliability and follow-through in structured settings.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with a child with autism in home or community settings.
• Receive supervision from a BCBA who guides you and helps build clinical skills.
• Learn the science of behavior (ABA) and apply it to support communication and social skills.
• Support children in developing independence and daily living skills.
• Use de-escalation strategies to help navigate challenging behaviors.
• Help develop executive functioning: planning, transitions, routines.
• Teach and reinforce positive behaviors with clear expectations.
• Track behavior and progress data to build observational skills.
