Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Silver Spring, MD. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with additional on-demand shifts via our scheduling platform, ideal for earning more while gaining experience across sites.

Pay rate is $22.09 per hour with Saturday 2:00 PM – 1:30 AM as the scheduled shift. Requires 2+ years security experience, HS diploma, and ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public following site procedures and emergency policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel or agencies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials; direct guests and maintain logs/reports per site procedures.
• Document incidents and daily activities accurately and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.
