Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Substitute School Food Service Worker to support our school nutrition team. Monday-Friday shifts, on-call, with no nights, weekends, or summers. You’ll help serve healthy meals to students and staff and contribute to a positive mealtime experience.

No experience is required as training will be provided. Pay rate is $15/hour with opportunities for growth within the food service program.

Qualifications

• Must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• English speaking and reading sufficient to understand recipes and safety requirements.
• No experience required; training will be provided.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
• Work as part of a fun, energetic team.
