Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Nursing Resource Pool. This on-site role supports multiple units, rotating through shifts and providing direct patient care under a nurse's supervision.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, draw blood, and assist with daily care under nurse supervision.
• Support admission and discharge processes and patient needs.
• Provide bathing, ambulation, and Foley catheter care as assigned.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the supervising nurse.
