Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking Patient Care Technicians for the Resource Pool. Part-time and full-time 12-hour shifts across day and night rotations.

The role supports RN staff, assists with daily living activities, vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and catheter care, with a focus on safety and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required, plus one of the listed certifications.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year of health care experience preferred.
• Keywords include CNA, Nursing Assistant, NA, Medical Assistant, MA, PCT.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support daily living activities under RN supervision.
• Monitor and document vital signs, mobility, and ambulation.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and specimen collection.
