Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Partner to join the Nursing Resource Pool. This role covers admissions, discharges, and direct patient care under RN supervision, including vitals, bathing, ambulation, and blood draws.

You will rotate through multiple units, gain exposure to diverse nursing specialties, and work with a collaborative team dedicated to safe, compassionate patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Unlicensed staff under nurse supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Change, bathe, and ambulate patients; provide routine care.
• Draw blood and assist with Foley catheter care as directed.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the nurse.
