Job summary

GIS Field Services, Inc. is seeking reliable Mortgage Field Inspectors to perform property inspections for mortgage companies on a flexible schedule.

This 1099 independent contractor role offers part-time or full-time opportunities with weekly pay and the potential to earn $20+ per hour depending on volume. Inspectors travel locally, manage their own schedules, and may conduct exterior occupancy checks as well as interior vacant or damage inspections.

Qualifications

• Must be a reliable independent contractor.
• Driver’s license valid and insurance for travel within your territory.
• Smartphone (iPhone or Android) and internet access.
• Printer and basic office supplies.
• Ability to obtain a Shield ID (GIS onboarding link provided).
• HUD/InspectorKeys access via GIS link when onboarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property inspections for existing mortgage loans.
• Determine occupancy status (occupied or vacant).
• Photograph and document property condition.
• Deliver door notices and verify utility status.
• Complete reports using a mobile app (InspectorADE).
• Communicate regularly with Inspection Relations Coordinator.
