Responsibilities

• Performs routine tests on specimens following laboratory procedures and policies.
• Collects specimens as required by section needs with care for patient needs.
• Ensures specimens are properly identified, collected, labeled, and stored.
• Performs instrument maintenance according to section procedures.
• Under direct supervision perform routine quality control and calibrations on equipment.
• May provide mentorship and training to others.
• Maintains inventory of supplies.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Follows department policy and maintains necessary records and documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
