Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Idaho is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Senior to join the Elmore Laboratory team on a full‑time basis. The role involves mentoring staff, supervising routine tests, and ensuring quality and compliance across processes.

The position requires a BS degree, 2 years of experience, and appropriate MLS/MT certifications. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, provide technical guidance, and contribute to process improvements and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Certification in MLS/MT or equivalent ASCP certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tests on specimens following lab procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, providing training and technical support.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure specimen integrity, and uphold safety standards.
• Carry out instrument maintenance and complex quality control tasks as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements and high standards of patient care.
