ModernMD Urgent Care seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians by taking patient histories, vitals, and specimens, and by performing phlebotomy and EKG tests as needed. You will document comprehensive clinical notes in the EMR and help manage patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinicians, accuracy in procedure forms, and maintaining a clean, efficient exam area. Bilingual abilities are a plus in this diverse New York clinic.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum required).
• Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certification from an accredited program.

Responsabilidades

• Using WOWs to obtain patient vitals, medical history, and demographics.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKG as needed.
• Collect, prepare specimens, and conduct point-of-care testing.
• Document all clinical services in the EMR accurately.
• Direct patient throughput and manage back-office flow.
• Assist with occupational health duties and patient care.
• Coordinate supplies, room readiness, and checklists.
