Qualifications

• Educated as an LPN or CMA by an approved program.
• Current licensure in the state of Illinois or CMA certification.
• CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical information, chief complaints, vital signs and diagnostic test results for physician examination and document in the medical record.
• Assist the physician in examination and treatment by handing instruments and preparing equipment.
• Administer care treatments prescribed by the provider within scope of practice.
• Maintain continuity of care by placing orders, scheduling tests, relaying results, and making referrals as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and advocate for patients, addressing complaints regarding service.
