Qualifications

• Educated as an LPN or CMA by an approved program.
• Current licensure in Illinois or CMA certification.
• CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical information and document in the medical record.
• Assist the physician during examination and treatment by handling instruments and preparing equipment.
• Administer care treatments within scope of practice.
• Coordinate continuity of care by scheduling tests and relaying results.
• Act as patient advocate and protect patient rights.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinic policies and OSHA rules.
• Orient new personnel to specialty and perform other duties as assigned.
