Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a Flex Clinical Staff member to support patient care and daily office operations. The role involves assisting physicians, documenting in medical records, and ensuring patient confidentiality in a busy clinical setting.

You will obtain vital signs, communicate results, and help manage treatment processes while adhering to OSHA and clinic policies. This position requires an LPN or CMA credential and IL licensure, with CPR within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education as LPN or CMA from an approved program.
• Current IL licensure or CMA certification.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical information, chief complaints, vital signs and diagnostic test results for physician examination.
• Assist the physician in examination and treatment by handing instruments, preparing equipment, and providing dressings.
• Administer care treatments prescribed by the provider within scope of practice.
• Ensure continuity of care by placing orders, scheduling tests and procedures, and communicating results to providers and patients.
• Advocate for patients by protecting rights and addressing complaints about service.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to dress code.
• Maintain patient and staff confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Stay current by education and literature and document for yearly evaluation.
• Follow incident reporting policies and clinic training requirements.
