Job summary

Scoot Education is recruiting for substitute classroom support roles in Florida. You’ll supervise and assist students in various school settings, contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, and coordinate with teachers to maintain smooth daily routines.

Training opportunities and ongoing guidance are provided by Scoot consultants. Ideal candidates have a relevant degree or college credits, state and federal background checks, and references.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment, encouraging engagement throughout the day.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions following lesson plans left by the teacher.
• Communicate clearly with school staff and leave notes for the returning teacher.
• Observe and report across indoor and outdoor environments; assist students up to 30 lbs.
