Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide in Cherokee County, TX. This PRN, part-time role supports new clients with personal care, meal prep, and daily living activities, traveling to serve multiple clients within the assigned area.

You’ll help ensure a smooth Start of Care and maintain accurate visit records. The position requires high school completion or GED, 6+ months caregiving experience, and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• High School Diploma or GED (where required by state regulations).
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Assist with meals and daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition and maintain accurate records.
