Job summary

Nurse Next Door in California is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to support seniors at home with nonmedical services and friendly companionship.

You will follow care plans, assist with ADLs, personal hygiene, transfers, meals, medications reminders, light housekeeping, and driving to appointments. Applicants must have CA HCA Registry registration, pass background checks, and complete required training; flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Current registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Criminal background check completed or in process.
• Evidence of paid training prior to client care.
• Evidence of tuberculosis testing and clearance.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist with ADLs within the scope of practice.
• Help with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Meal planning and preparation, including special diets.
• Medication reminders when self-administered.
• Maintain records of services performed.
• Drive to appointments and run errands.
