Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring compassionate Home Care Aides in California to provide nonmedical in-home care for seniors. Work with flexible shifts from part-time to full-time and complete required Live Scan/HCA checks. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, personal hygiene, meals, medications reminders, and light housekeeping.

Applicants must be at least 18, have CA Home Care Aide Registry registration, and be capable of confidentially documenting care and remaining alert during shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Current registration with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Help clients with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
• Assist with personal hygiene, transfers, and dressing.
• Assist with prescribed exercises taught by health personnel.
• Plan and prepare meals including therapeutic diets.
• Assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care.
• Perform household tasks and transportation as needed.
• Record hours worked accurately and report changes to the administrator.
