Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Child Development Specialist to deliver home-based early intervention services for infants, toddlers, and their families.

The role emphasizes family coaching, using the Parent Coaching Model, and supporting children in natural environments. The position requires a master’s degree in child development or related field (Orange County preference) or a special education credential, with experience in early intervention and home-based service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with early intervention services and family coaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Experience delivering home-based services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to develop development goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
