Job summary
Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. is seeking Child Development Specialists to work with infants and toddlers in home-based settings across California.
You will conduct developmental assessments and support families using the Parent Coaching Model to reach individualized goals. Roles involve IFSP follow-through, family coaching, and writing progress reports, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential.
- Early Intervention Experience preferred.
- Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model.
- Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to set development goals.
- Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
- Provide services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, community settings).
- Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
- Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
