Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a Child Development Specialist to support infants, toddlers and families through home-based early intervention. You will work across California programs, providing family-centered services in the child’s natural environment.

You’ll conduct developmental assessments, follow IFSPs, coach families, and document progress while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Flexible schedules and locations are available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred/required (Orange County only) in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential.
• Early Intervention Experience preferred.
• Home-Based Service Delivery Experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and ensure progress generalization.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, at home, daycare, or community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
