Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Child Development Specialist to deliver home-based early intervention for infants and toddlers.

You will conduct developmental assessments and collaborate with families under the IFSP to develop strategies that promote progress in the child’s development. Work will take place in homes or community settings, using the Parent Coaching Model to empower caregivers and ensure skill generalization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred or required (Orange County only) in child development or related field OR a special education credential.
• Early Intervention Experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSP and help families implement strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
