Job summary

UPMC East is hiring a Flex Full Time Food Service Attendant to support the Dietary and Cafeteria department. This role is responsible for timely meal assembly, final preparation and service with attention to food safety and customer service.

Shifts vary with weekends/holidays: 6am-2:30pm, 6:15am-2:45pm, 8:45am-5:15pm, 9am-5:30pm, 10am-6:30pm, 10:45am-7:15pm. Preferred candidates are available for all shifts and have a strong work history in customer service or food service.

Qualifications

• Available for all shift times as required by the department.
• Strong work history in customer service or food service.
• Experience in food preparation or serving preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble and serve meals ensuring accuracy to diet orders and menus.
• Prepare and sanitize work areas and equipment; maintain food safety standards.
• Assist with stocking supplies and equipment as needed.
• Deliver meals to patient rooms and residents; assist with tray assembly and table setting.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas per health guidelines.
