Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Front Desk in Columbia, SC. You will support multiple client sites with irregular shifts, part-time to full-time hours, and opportunities to grow within the company.

This role offers diverse assignments across healthcare, education, finance, and more, with a pay rate of $17.81 per hour. You’ll work 30–40 hours weekly, scheduling changes based on manager assignments and Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift options.

Qualifications

• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check, drug screen, and licensing as required by state/local laws.
• Must be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized entry and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders
