Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Float Cook to provide versatile culinary support across multiple locations, preparing nutritious meals for residents, families, staff, and the community.

You'll adapt to different kitchen environments, maintain high culinary standards, and collaborate with Managers and teams to ensure smooth operations. This hourly, part-time role requires a strong commitment to food safety and travel to Vivie facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of quantity and scratch cooking experience.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Culinary degree preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & Serve Meals - Serve meals with flavor, presentation, and nutrition in mind, following dietary guidelines and adapting to each location’s needs.
• Support Managers & Teams - Ensuring smooth kitchen operations and model teamwork under the supervision of the Manager of Culinary Services.
• Maintain Food Safety & Sanitation Standards - Including proper handling, storage, and food safety compliance according to MN food-code.
• Other Duties as Assigned - Assist with special events, including banquet-style and fine dining meal preparation.
