Prospect Schools seeks a Finance Operations Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations, grants administration, and contract management across our Brooklyn-based K-12 charter network. You will coordinate procurement, coding, reporting, and data analysis to ensure accurate and compliant financial processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in finance operations with proficiency in Sage Intacct, Excel, and Google Sheets, plus a strong eye for detail and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration & Operations, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance operations, budgeting, procurement, grants administration, or related roles.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Excel, and Google Sheets preferred.
• Experience analyzing operational and financial data across multiple sources.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Support day-to-day finance transactions across network and schools.
• Manage network and school reporting for credit card administration, expense coding, and spend analysis.
• Maintain finance knowledge resources and process guides.
• Troubleshoot financial operations issues and escalate unresolved matters.
• Pull financial reports from Sage Intacct and other systems to support analysis.
• Serve as NYSTL order coordinator and support centralized planning and purchasing processes.
• Assist with grant expense tagging, coding accuracy, and compliance.
• Monitor grant expenditures and maintain supporting records.
• Gather financial documentation and budget information for cross-functional teams.
• Maintain organized grant documentation for reporting and audits.
• Contribute to development and improvement of financial operations systems and processes.
• Track grant utilization and identify underspend/overspend risks.
• Manage vendor contracts: review process with Finance, Legal, Operations, and leads.
• Coordinate contract review and vendor communication network-wide.
• Monitor budgets for key initiatives and extended learning programs.
• Identify spending patterns and opportunities for efficiency.
