Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a part-time lifeguard for Plymouth & Sandburg Middle Schools to supervise swim activities and ensure participant safety.

The role offers flexible evening and weekend shifts, with an hourly rate based on certification and experience, and requires current lifeguard, CPR, and first-aid credentials. Community Education Aquatics team supports safe, high-quality swim lessons and clear communication with students and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Ability to work with people from various cultures.
• Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First-Aid Certificates within two months of hire.
• Lifeguard certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for all participants and staff.
• Know and enforce all program policies and rules.
• Respond effectively in an emergency situation.
• Maintain current required certifications.
• Inspect pool area for cleanliness, safety hazards, and unsafe conditions.
• Arrive on time in proper uniform.
• Participate in in-service training and staff development.
