Job summary

The City of Plymouth is seeking a part-time lifeguard for Wayzata East Middle School Pool. You will supervise pool activities, monitor safety, and respond to emergencies. Training is provided monthly and pre-season preparation ensures readiness.

Responsibilities include enforcing rules, assisting participants of all ages, and working with a team of aquatic staff to maintain a safe, welcoming pool environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Lifeguard certification or be able to obtain one.
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Must demonstrate dependability and a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Maintain continuous surveillance and respond to emergencies per policy.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures consistently.
• Assist participants of all ages and promote an inclusive environment.
• Coordinate with other lifeguards and aquatic staff to keep the pool area safe and clean.
