Job summary

RSU 40 is seeking Educational Technicians to support students across special education programs in mid-coast Maine. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, implementing IEP goals, and collaboration with teachers and related staff.

Candidates should have Maine Ed Tech I–III certification (or be able to obtain it) and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility in dynamic settings. Pay range is $18.88–$27.96 per hour, with opportunities across classrooms and programs.

Qualifications

• Maine Ed Tech I–III certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
• Flexibility to support across multiple programs and settings.

Responsibilities

• Support students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development.
• Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior plans.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support in a variety of settings.
• Assist with classroom routines, materials, and organization.
• Support students during transitions, meals, and community activities.
• Build positive relationships with students and collaborate with staff.
