Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking an empathetic Direct Support Professional to help seniors and people with disabilities live independently. Earn up to $15.68 per hour with flexible hours and the security of regular pay options.

The role supports meaningful home care, teamwork, and growth within a values-driven organization. Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with personal care, managing household tasks, transporting clients, and reporting health changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid license and insurance.
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and work with limited supervision.
• Good communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
