Job summary

Help at Home in Indiana is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one care to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You’ll help them live more independently and participate in everyday activities.

You’ll assist with daily living skills, document care, and collaborate with our team to deliver consistent, quality support while promoting dignity and autonomy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• As a Direct Support Professional, provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities—at home and in the community—helping them live independently.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities and events.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress; document care and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support; promote choice, independence and self-advocacy.
