Job summary

Help at Home in Mississippi is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. DSPs help people live as independently as possible and become a hero in their community.

We offer flexible schedules, competitive pay starting at $13–$15 per hour with weekly pay, paid training, health benefits, time off and cash bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes.
• Compassion, reliability and a desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence and self-advocacy.
• Document care, activities and progress and communicate with the team.
