Job summary

Amelia Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Amelia Court House, VA is hiring a COTA to provide patient-focused occupational therapy under the supervision of an OTR. Qualifications

• BA or Associate degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by AOTA.
• Current VA license/registration in the state VA.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient daily participation and progress on progress notes with co-signature of the OTR.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as needed.
• Supervise junior staff or students when assigned.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, and families.
