Job summary

Amelia Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Amelia Court House, VA, is hiring for a COTA. The OT Assistant provides comprehensive treatment under supervision, identifies patients for rehab, and documents progress with OTR oversight.

Qualifications

• BA or Associate degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by AOTA.
• Current license/registration in Virginia required.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT treatment under supervision of an OTR.
• Identify appropriate patients and refer for rehab.
• Document daily participation and progress with co-signature of OTR.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Attend facility rehab meetings and act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Schedule patients, complete billing logs and bill ethically for OT services.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absences and supervise junior staff.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, families.
