Job summary

Fairview Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Franklin, VA is hiring a COTA to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OTR in a SNF setting.

The role involves documenting progress, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring proper orders and an ethical billing process. A BA or AS in OT and Virginia licensure are required; SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist with identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient progress on progress notes and obtain the OTR's co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Attend facility meetings and act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Schedule patients, complete billing logs, and bill ethically for services rendered.
• Supervise junior COTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families and adhere to confidentiality.
