Job summary

Creative Security Company Inc in the San Jose region is seeking a highly adaptable Flex Security Officer to support elite corporate client accounts. You will work in the field at main lobby desks, perform access control, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents, maintaining high-visibility security across multiple sites.

The role requires 2+ years of security experience, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to rotating day and swing shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of progressive physical security, site security, or corporate access control experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage comfortably with individuals at all levels of an organization.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing shift schedules, varying post assignments, and fast-paced environments.
• Experience operating VMS/CCTV software (Genetec experience preferred) and basic digital reporting software.
• California Driver’s License (CADL) valid and in-state; BSIS Guard Card or PPSO; De-Escalation training; CPR/AED/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact at main lobby desks and entrance control points, delivering exceptional customer service to executives, employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Verify visitor credentials, issue guest badges, maintain logs, and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
• Enforce building security policies in a calm, tactful, professional manner.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of corporate offices, parking structures, and restricted zones.
• Monitor security cameras and Genetec to detect suspicious activity or hazards.
• Lead evacuations as Contingency Lead during emergencies and coordinate with emergency services.
