Job summary

Cavender’s in Knoxville is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting customers, accurately processing transactions, and helping customers find products.

You will help maintain a clean, stocked sales floor, assist with merchandising updates, and promote promotions while staying attentive to safety and company policies. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash transactions.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift.
• Ability to safely use store equipment and follow age requirements where applicable.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions, read English, and apply tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver friendly service throughout the shopping experience.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and assist with housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed, signed, stocked, and located according to standards.
• Promote store programs and price changes, and suggest complementary merchandise.
• Provide courteous responses to inquiries in person and over the phone.
