Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Central IL is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care. You’ll support clients in private homes, apartments, or assisted living settings while following care plans and ensuring safety and comfort.

As a caregiver, you’ll work flexible shifts (day, evening, overnight) and collaborate with an office team for support. Training and mentorship are available to help you grow professionally and provide dependable, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle.
• Must maintain current automobile insurance.
• Must complete all required IDPH background check requirements.
• Must be able to work independently and follow established care plans and instructions.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be able to accurately document services provided and observations.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and perform caregiving duties.
• Must be able to work with individuals of varying personalities and needs.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be dependable, professional, and maintain client confidentiality.
• Must follow company policies, safety procedures, and infection-control practices.
• Must recognize and report changes in client condition, safety concerns, or incidents.
• Must successfully complete orientation, training, and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and one-on-one social interaction.
• Assisting with personal care, including bathing and grooming.
• Helping with mobility, positioning, transfers, and walking assistance.
• Preparing meals and aiding with eating when needed.
• Performing light housekeeping to maintain a clean home environment.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Assisting with errands.
• Observing and reporting changes in condition.
• Arriving on time, staying for the scheduled shift, and completing responsibilities.
