Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare is seeking caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care across day, evening, and overnight shifts in Central IL. Choose hours that fit your availability and support clients in their own homes, facilities, or assisted living communities.

Responsibilities include companionship, personal care, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. We offer paid orientation, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement with 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle.
• Must maintain current automobile insurance.
• Must complete all required Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) background check requirements.
• Must be able to work independently and follow established care plans and instructions.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be able to accurately document services provided, observations, and other required information.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and safely perform the physical responsibilities associated with assigned caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and one-on-one social interaction.
• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other activities of daily living.
• Helping clients with mobility, positioning, transfers, and walking assistance.
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating when needed.
• Performing light housekeeping to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Assisting with errands.
• Observing and reporting changes in condition.
• Providing dependable care by arriving on time, remaining for the scheduled shift, and completing assigned responsibilities.
