United Care ABA-Colorado in Denver is seeking Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to work one-on-one with children with autism in home and community settings. This is hands-on experience in behavioral health and child development, not babysitting.

You’ll receive ongoing supervision from a BCBA, learn ABA principles, and help kids develop communication, social, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• No experience needed; great for psych, social work, or education majors.
• Strong interest in working with children and behavior.
• Ability to commit to a consistent schedule and show up reliably.

Responsabilités

• Work 1:1 with a child with autism in home or community settings.
• Receive supervision and mentorship from a BCBA.
• Learn and apply ABA to support communication, social skills, and independence.
• Use de-escalation and regulation strategies to support behavior.
• Build executive functioning: planning, transitions, routines, and task completion.
• Teach and reinforce positive behaviors and daily living skills.
• Track behavior and progress data to inform planning.
