Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Flex Security Officer for full-time deployment across multiple sites including Longview, WA. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring cameras, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to ensure safety and security.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 with a HS diploma or GED, possess strong customer service and leadership abilities, and can work independently while remaining calm under pressure. Training and uniforms are provided.

Responsibilities

Flex Security Officer — Full Time

Must be available any day, at least two shifts & will be stationed at various site locations

Primary Site Location: Longview, WA

Wage: $22.00/Hour

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.
• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Provide visible deterrence against criminal activity and suspicious behavior.
• Support organizational operations by creating a safe and secure workplace.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying identification, checking credentials, and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
