Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our mobile team. You’ll install GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across vehicles and trailers, leveraging automotive and electrical know-how.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on automotive or installation experience, basic diagnostics, and comfort with wiring. This role requires travel to customer sites and emphasizes safety, quality, and right-first-time work.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
