Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our team. You will install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment on vehicles and fleet assets, including light-duty and heavy-duty equipment.
Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience, with the ability to read wiring diagrams, diagnose issues, and travel to customer sites for mobile projects. ASE/I-CAR exposure is a plus.
Qualifications
- Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
- Perform 12V/24V wiring, power, ignition, ground, diagnostics, and trailer connections.
- Test equipment functionality and diagnose installation issues.
- Document installations with photos and service notes.
- Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
