Job summary

City of Anaheim Public Works Department seeks a Vehicle Technician II to perform journey level maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel, and alternative-fuel vehicles, motorcycles, and equipment. You will join the Auto Shop and support a 40+ member fleet team in delivering reliable public services.

The position requires strong diagnostic skills, hands-on repair ability, and excellent customer service. Collaboration with colleagues and safe workmanship are essential, with ASE certifications

Qualifications

• Journey-level light and heavy vehicle repair experience.
• Strong customer service values and teamwork.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions with diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate, service, and repair light and heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues; perform safety inspections.
• Record maintenance and parts in fleet management system; manage workflow.
