Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of journey-level mechanic experience in maintenance of gasoline, diesel, CNG, and electric drive vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with computer-based diagnostics in fleet maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Replace and adjust parts such as brakes, filters, hoses, and belts.
• Diagnose electrical problems and repair alternators, ignition systems and spark plugs.
• Perform oil changes, tune-ups, tire changes, and fluid services.
• Road test repaired vehicles; document work and maintain records.
• Repair lawn mowers, engines, pumps, and generators, including emergency units.
• Provide on-call coverage and assist with administrative tasks in supervisor's absence.
• Submit weekly reports detailing work performed.
