Job summary

The City of Temple seeks an Automotive Maintenance Technician to service light-duty vehicles and equipment, performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing, repairing, and ordering parts with minimal supervision. Applicants must furnish their own hand tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA 609 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• ASE Certifications A4 and A5 or two additional years of experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose, repair, and order parts for light-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Respond to roadside calls and conduct road/static tests.
• Take and pick up vehicles from outside vendors for repairs.
• Maintain a clean, orderly shop and follow city safety policies.
