Job summary

DRIG is seeking skilled independent technicians to join its nationwide network for mobile electronics installations in fleets. This 1099 role involves traveling to customer locations to complete GPS trackers, dash cameras, and other telematics installations, with flexible scheduling and competitive per-install pay.

Contractors control their schedules, pass a background check and drug screen, and receive detailed job scope from DRIG QC.

Qualifications

• Experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics in vehicles including GPS trackers and dash cameras.
• Solid understanding of 12-volt vehicle wiring.
• Ability to supply your own tools and materials for professional installations.
• Reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Smartphone or tablet to access job details and submit documentation.
• MECP certification is a plus, but not required.
• Contractors must be able to pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure aftermarket automotive electronics (GPS trackers, dash cameras, remote start systems).
• Deliver high-quality workmanship from start to finish to support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each completed job and ensure installations meet project specs.
• Communicate professionally with customers at job sites.
• Use DRIG’s systems to access job details and manage accepted jobs.
• Coordinate with DRIG’s Quality Control team at job start to review scope and expectations.
