Job summary

DRIG is seeking skilled technicians to join our network as independent contractors specializing in fleet automotive electronics installations. You will install and troubleshoot GPS trackers, dash cameras, remote start systems, and other telematics devices across cars, trucks, and semis.

This strictly 1099 role offers flexible scheduling, per-install compensation, and mileage reimbursements. Contractors manage their own schedule and coordinate travel for out-of-area projects with DRIG's support

Qualifications

• Experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics in vehicles.
• Solid understanding of 12-volt vehicle wiring.
• Ability to supply your own tools and materials for professional installations.
• Reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• MECP certification is a plus, but not required.
• Contractors must be able to pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and configuration of aftermarket automotive electronics, including GPS trackers and dash cameras.
• Install remote start systems and other fleet telematics devices across vehicles.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and coordinate with DRIG’s QC team to ensure specifications.
• Maintain documentation for each completed job and communicate with customers at sites.
• Use DRIG’s systems to access job details and manage accepted work.
• Follow safety and compliance standards to reduce return visits.
• Coordinate with travel team for out-of-area projects.
