Job summary

DRIG is seeking skilled independent technicians to perform mobile electronics installations across the United States. Technicians will travel to customer locations and work as 1099 contractors, wiring and installing GPS trackers, dash cameras, remotes, and other fleet devices in cars, trucks, and larger vehicles.

Contracts are 1099 independent contractor positions with flexible schedules and competitive per-install compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics in vehicles (GPS trackers, dash cameras, car audio, remote starts, alarms, lighting).
• Solid understanding of 12-volt vehicle wiring.
• Able to supply your own tools and materials for professional installations.
• Reliable vehicle for travel to customer locations as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Smartphone or tablet to access job details and submit documentation.
• MECP certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure aftermarket automotive electronics (GPS trackers, dash cameras, telematics devices).
• Deliver high-quality workmanship from start to finish to support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each completed job and ensure installations meet specs.
• Communicate professionally with customers at job sites and coordinate with DRIG teams as needed.
• Follow safety and compliance standards to reduce return visits and ensure install quality.
• Coordinate with DRIG Quality Control at the start of each job to review scope and expectations.
• Travel to approved out-of-area projects with DRIG travel coordination.
