Job summary

PCG in Lenexa, KS seeks a Fleet & Transportation Manager to lead a fleet team and manage procurement, maintenance, fuel, and disposition of vehicles and equipment. You will partner with senior leadership to optimize efficiency, safety, and cost across the fleet organization.

The role requires strong knowledge of fleet operations, budgeting, lifecycle costing, and DOT compliance, with experience in telematics and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation/fleet management or logistics.
• Experience in construction or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a fleet team of 4–6 members with coaching and performance oversight.
• Develop and implement fleet goals, policies, and priorities.
• Provide senior leadership with insight on fleet policies and financial performance.
• Administer vehicle replacement and lifecycle optimization programs.
• Manage fuel usage programs to monitor consumption and costs.
• Develop environmental initiatives including alternative fuels.
• Oversee maintenance programs and vehicle history tracking.
• Ensure DOT regulatory compliance and maintain policy manuals.
• Conduct audits and provide personnel training as necessary.
• Ensure hazardous material handling and storage compliance.
• Provide recommendations for vehicle selection using lifecycle cost analysis.
• Administer accident management programs.
• Develop telematics systems and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with branch managers on freight and logistics solutions.
