Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Fleet Automotive Training & Development Manager to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive training program for the city’s fleet of 5,000+ vehicles and equipment across 27+ agencies.

You will lead the Fleet Academy, coordinate with OEMs and vendors, and develop curricula to improve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness while fostering continuous learning and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two (2) years of experience in technical, administrative, professional or project management work and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage a comprehensive fleet training program and curricula for technicians and operators.
• Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors to deliver hands-on and virtual training.
• Develop and maintain a fleet-wide training calendar and virtual training catalog.
• Lead safety training initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using data and performance metrics.
